In May the Montford Neighborhood Association sent a letter to Paige Dickens, CEO of The Health Adventure, requesting a meeting between leaders of the two organizations to reestablish regular and substantive communication. A recent article by Ms. Dickens in the Asheville Citizen-Times cited an indefinite time frame for completing the Momentum project. The lack of construction activity since last fall, compliance issues with permit requirements, and renewed concerns of Montford residents prompted our request for a meeting.
Ms. Dickens declined to meet with MNA representatives, stating that The Health Adventure is intensively focused on securing funding for completing Momentum and that, after July 1, a possible meeting with neighbors can be discussed.
The Montford Neighborhood Association will contact Ms. Dickens early in July to try to schedule the meeting.
