Neighbors,
We had been notified that AT&T was going to upgrade their internet service in our neighborhood.
Then, we were told, “never mind”.
In conversations with AT&T, it appears that a couple of challenges led them to move onto other areas for upgrades. While getting approval from HRC for installation of equipment cabinets in the ROW was a layer of review that they preferred not to have to deal with, it sounds like the bigger issue is our mature tree canopy, and overhead lines that run along the rear of some properties (my service is from the rear along the alleyway). Those rear lot service lines don’t always follow electrical lines, so tree-trimming is more challenging, and more of a shock to some neighbors.
I was told that they are just moving on to neighborhoods that are less challenging, and may be back in the future to take this on.
